General Information
Q: When and where is the wedding?
A: The wedding will be held on 19th October 2024. The ceremony will be held at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, located at 1 Marist Pl, Parramatta NSW 2150. A reception will follow later in the early evening at Le Montage, Alexandra Lounge, located at 38 Frazer St, Lilyfield NSW 2040.
Q: What time should I arrive?
A: The ceremony will begin at 1pm sharp, so we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early to find seating and get settled.
Q: Is there a dress code?
A: Yes, the dress code is Formal. Semi-formal will be acceptable. In terms of colours, maybe just avoid White colours if possible. All other colours are fine.
Travel and Accommodation
Q: Is there parking available at the venues?
A: Yes, there is ample parking available at both Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in Parramatta and Le Montage in Lilyfield for guests who wish to drive. However, keep in mind that on weekends, Le Montage might become full with multiple events being run at the venue.
Q: What is the best way to get to the venues using public transport?
A: Here are the best ways to reach Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in Parramatta and Le Montage in Lilyfield using public transport:
To Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, Parramatta:
- Train: Parramatta is a major station on the Sydney Trains network, served by the T1 North Shore & Western Line, T5 Cumberland Line, and the Blue Mountains Line. From Sydney Central Station, take the T1 line towards Emu Plains or Richmond. The journey takes approximately 25 minutes. From Parramatta Station, it’s a short 10 to 15 minute walk to the cathedral.
- Bus: Parramatta is also well-served by buses. Check the Transport for NSW website for bus routes and schedules that suit your location.
From Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, Parramatta to Le Montage, Lilyfield:
- Train and Light Rail: From Parramatta Station, take the T1 line towards the city and alight at Central Station. From Central, transfer to the L1 Dulwich Hill Light Rail and alight at Lilyfield Station. From Lilyfield Station, it’s a 10 to 15 minute walk to Le Montage.
- Bus: Alternatively, take a bus from Parramatta to the city and transfer to a bus heading towards Lilyfield. Check the Transport for NSW website for specific routes and schedules.
Ceremony and Reception
Q: What time does the reception start?
A: The reception will begin later in the evening after the ceremony at 5:30pm at Le Montage, Alexandra Lounge, located at 38 Frazer St, Lilyfield NSW 2040.
Q: Will there be food served after the ceremony?
A: There will be no food or drinks served at the church venue, but there will be plenty of food at the reception. So, we recommend either having a big breakfast in the morning or a light snack after the ceremony.
Q: What type of food will be served?
A: The reception will start with drinks and canapes on arrival. There will be a 4-course menu finishing up with cake. We will have special option plates for those with dietary requirements.
Q: Can I bring a plus one?
A: Please refer to your invitation to see if a plus one is included. If not, it may still be alright to bring someone, but just let us know beforehand, and we will try to be as accommodating as we can. It will really come down to numbers.
Q: Will there be an open bar?
A: Yes, there will be an open bar available throughout the reception.
Wedding Gifts
Q: Can I give a monetary gift?
A: Thank you so much! Your presence in our wedding is the most precious gift of all. However if you wish to give a monetary gift. We will have a wishing well at the reception where you can contribute to help build our future life together and hopefully honeymoon as well! Thank you once again for your generosity.
Q: Are monetary gifts preferred over physical gifts?
A: While we will greatly appreciate any gift you choose to give, monetary gifts are preferred as they allow us more flexibility in planning our future together. Thank you for your generosity!
Other Information
Q: Are children invited?
A: Children are welcome to come. However, keep in mind that it will mostly be an all-adult event, with pyrotechnics, fire acts, and lots of dancing! So all we ask is that you are mindful of them during these times for their own safety. We will try to provide coloring books for them on the night.
